At Our Lady of Mercy College, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom walls. Through our Workplace Learning Program, students are gaining invaluable real-world experience, exploring career pathways and developing industry-specific skills that will shape their futures.

Recently, our Career Services Team visited students on their placements and saw them thriving in a range of industries:

  • Cassie at St Michael’s Catholic Primary School, engaging with young learners and supporting classroom activities.

  • Layla at Black Diamond Nail Bar, learning the art and professionalism of beauty therapy.

  • Kate at Terry White Chemmart, completing a School-based Traineeship and gaining hands-on experience in pharmacy services.

  • JeddAleah, and Georgina at St Brigid’s Primary School, contributing to a vibrant learning environment.

  • Lewis and Joshua at Swan Transit, developing engineering, electrical and fabrication/welding skills.

  • Lucas at Aspire Physiotherapy, gaining insight into allied health and rehabilitation practices.

  • Cassidy at Goodstart Early Learning Centre, building skills in childcare and early childhood education.

  • Layla at True Revolution Automotive, learning automotive mechanic skills and hands-on vehicle servicing.

These opportunities are shaping career decisions and giving students a real taste of working life. Thank you to our industry partners for supporting the next generation of professionals.
