As I write this Term 2 report, I have just returned from the Semester 1 Dance Concert at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre (BREC). It was a real pleasure to watch our students present themselves with such skill and to see the collaborative way they worked together. Our Dance teachers do a fabulous job preparing the students to showcase their talents. It was wonderful to also see many other staff, not only Dance staff, supporting and assisting our performers. It truly was a team effort.

Of course, this event is just one of the many events that both staff and students have participated in this term. College staff work tirelessly to offer a wonderful variety of experiences alongside regular classes for all students. This term has seen retreats for three year groups, a variety of sporting events, Read and Champagnat House days, excursions to a variety of subject, career and trade events in tandem with incursions by Paul Litherland and Chris Sebastian. In Week 10 these opportunities will continue with many of our students out to attend Country Week and for the Year 10 cohort, Work Experience.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff at OLMC who exhibit unwavering commitment and creativity in their efforts to provide our students a broad and valuable learning experience. Our teachers’ patience, encouragement and innovative teaching methods make a significant impact on our students' academic and personal growth. We are truly fortunate to have such a talented and caring team of educators at OLMC.
We welcome back this week Mr Vince Bellini from his five weeks long service leave traveling through Italy and Greece and trust he has returned with renewed enthusiasm for the remainder of the year. The College wishes Mrs Louise Branson and Mrs Natasha Shields well as they commence their well-deserved long service leave. We also wish Mrs Svitlana Bibikova well as she joins her husband on his secondment in NSW while commencing one year’s leave without pay.
I know we are all looking forward to the upcoming holidays. May they be filled with relaxation, happiness and many memorable experiences. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for Term 3.
