Early Childhood School-based Traineeship for Jaymie (Year 11)

Our Lady of Mercy College is grateful and proud of the long-standing relationship we share with Online Child Care – Bushkids. Owner, Kathy McKrill, has supported many of our Early Childhood Education students for Workplace Learning and subsequently provided employment opportunities in the capacity of School-based Traineeships.

We would like to congratulate Jaymie Saenen (Year 11) on her recent appointment. Jaymie was invited to attend a trial at the centre and demonstrated her keen aspiration to enter the industry, resulting in an offer of employment.

Jaymie signed her School-based Traineeship on 6 May 2022 with Kathy McKrill at Online Childcare – Bushkids and Tracie Yardley from Apprenticeship Support Australia. Jaymie will be attending the Centre one day a week and will continue her Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care studies at the College through Fremantle Education Centre.

Our Lady of Mercy College has seen a significant increase in School-based Traineeships and Apprenticeships in 2022. This is largely due to the readiness of local businesses to engage and collaborate with the dedicated staff at the College to fill the needs of their business by providing these invaluable opportunities to our students.

If you would like more information on School-based Traineeships, Apprenticeships or VET/Careers, please contact the Career Services Team on 9720 3300.
