This year, Our Lady of Mercy College has been fortunate to welcome five enthusiastic parents to form our Parents & Friends Committee.

Since Term 2, the Committee has been actively engaged, with the following members taking on key roles:

• Chair – Natasha Oke

• Deputy Chair – Charlotte Steers

• Secretary – Kate Whitcher

• Treasurer – Jade Green

• Committee Member – Haylee Shaw

These dedicated parents represent students across various year levels. Their meetings provide a valuable opportunity to discuss the allocation of P&F levies towards staff wish list items that fall outside standard curriculum budgets, raise community concerns and enjoy meaningful connections with one another.

This week, the Committee welcomed Siobhan Allen, Executive Director, and Nicole Beresford, Liaison Officer, from Catholic School Parents WA. Siobhan and Nicole shared insights on the role of the P&F in schools, budgeting strategies, community-building activities and the support available to committees. We are grateful to them both for making the trip from Perth to join us.

We look forward to seeing the P&F Committee in action again next year.
