Design Studies
Course Description
This course incorporates 2D and 3D sketching techniques, rendering and nets. Students explore the elements and principles of design to develop creative design solutions. Final concepts may be developed into prototypes using possible applications such as laser cutters or 3d printers ie additive and subtractive manufacturing. Students examine source of materials and sustainability issues. Students start with a set of skill activities leading to project development and then introduction to basic 2d and 3d drawing and CAD to model the final product.
