Year 7, 2024 Enrolment Information
Thank you for expressing an interest in a place for your child at Our Lady of Mercy College. We understand that choosing a school for your child is one of life’s major decisions and requires careful thought.
Our prime focus is to ensure that your child’s educational experience enables them to develop fully and empowers them to make a positive contribution to society. We hold strongly to the view that the success of every student is important.
Below is information regarding the College Enrolment Process for students wishing to enrol for Year 7 2024.
Step 1: Enrolment Application

Step 2: Parent Information Evening
A Parent Information Evening was held on Tuesday, 26 July, 2022. Information of a general nature and information regarding Scholarships and Bursaries was provided by students and senior staff members at this meeting.
Step 3: Enrolment Interviews
As advised at the Parent Information Evening, our Enrolment Interviews will take place in two rounds during Term 3 and Term 4, 2022. Round 1 for complete applications received BEFORE 26 July 2022. Round 2 for complete applications received AFTER 26 July 2022.
We will invite families via email to book a suitable time through our online booking link. Please note that an invitation will only be sent to families, who have provided us with all relevant documents, including your child’s Semester 1, 2022 school report. A reminder email has been sent to families, who have made application and are yet to send through documents.
The purpose of the interview is to provide families with a more personal opportunity to meet with a senior member of the College leadership team. The individual needs of the child will be considered and an opportunity to ask questions will be provided.
If you haven’t already done so, please email a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate, Baptism Certificate, Citizen/Visa paperwork, Semester 1, 2022 school report, and if available, your child’s Naplan report, as well as any Medical/Specialists reports applicable to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also contact our Enrolments Department on (08) 9720 3300 (Opt. 1) to arrange payment of the $50.00 application fee.
Round 1 Interview with child & parent(s) in August 2022.
Round 2 Interview with child & parent(s) early Term 4 2022.
Step 4: Letter of Offer
Round 1 A Letter of Offer will be posted out to families on or before 2 September 2022.
Round 2 A Letter of Offer will be posted out to families in Term 4, 2022.
Step 5: Acceptance of Offer
Round 1 Acceptance of Offer Form to be returned to the College by 23 September 2022.
Round 2 Acceptance of Offer Form to be returned to the College by the end of Term 4
Step 6: Student Orientation Information
Student Orientation Information will be sent out to families in Term 3, 2023.
Scholarship and Bursaries
The College encourages Academic endeavours by offering Academic and Music Scholarships to Year 7 students. In addition, the College seeks to assist families (on a needs basis) in their endeavours to access Catholic Education. In partnership with MADALAH, the College makes Bursaries available for students of Aboriginal descent. The P&F provides Bursaries to assist families with the transition to secondary school.
Details on how to apply for a Scholarship or Bursary will be made available during Term 3, 2022.
