Message from Principal, Mr Vince Bellini - Term 2 Staffing Updates

Welcome back to another term at Our Lady of Mercy College. I wish to take this opportunity to inform you of some recent staffing changes within our school. I believe it is important to keep you informed so you can direct any queries or concerns to the correct member of staff.

Staff Movements

The following staff members will assist by stepping into new roles vacated within our school due to staff leave. Mrs Viv McKenzie will undertake the role of Director of Staff whilst Mrs Maree Maughan is on Long Service Leave. As Mrs McKenzie will be on Long Service Leave in Term 3, Mr Jarrad Pisano will take on the role of Director of Wellbeing for Term 2 and 3 and will then take some well-deserved leave during Term 4. Mrs Amanda Owen-Tucker moves into the Head of Year 8 position for the remainder of the year. Finally, Mrs Natasha Shields will be Acting Liturgy Coordinator for the remainder of the year.

I am pleased to announce the extension of contracts for Mr Jordan McGinley, who will continue at the College in the areas of Health and Physical Education and Religious Education. Mrs Rebecca Herring who was assisting in the Administration Office will move into Academic Services for the remainder of the year.

Welcoming New Faces

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Mr Steve Smith as our Head of Grounds and Maintenance, Mrs Chloe Fucile and Mrs Emma Plumb, supporting our canteen staff and Mrs Andrea Hodgson who will be assisting the College in the Wellbeing space during Term 2 whilst Grace Youngs is on leave.

Temporary Leave

As already mentioned, we bid temporary farewells to Mrs Maree Maughan and Ms Grace Youngs as they take their well-deserved leave, we eagerly anticipate their return to our school community in Term 3.

Farewell

It is with mixed emotions, we bid farewell to Mr Jordan Faed, who embarks on an exciting new journey at Bunbury Baptist College. Mr Faed has assisted us at the College for several years in a variety of learning areas, always giving of his best for the betterment of the students at Our Lady of Mercy College. On behalf of the College community, I wish Mr Faed all the best.

I invite you to join us in welcoming our new team members, celebrating the accomplishments of those stepping into new roles, and expressing our gratitude to those departing or on leave. These changes bring fresh perspectives and opportunities for growth within our school community, and we're excited to see what the future holds.

On a final note, I am delighted to welcome back from long service leave Mrs Addy Godwin, Mr Daniel Parkinson and Mrs Janette Pepper. I know speaking to them on their return this week they had a wonderful, restful break and are looking forward being back at the College.

I look forward to welcoming you all personally at the College in the coming weeks at relevant parent evenings and College events.

Vince Bellini Principal
