ICT Support Officer (Contract)
​
Our Lady of Mercy College Australind is a nurturing co-educational secondary College for students from Year 7 to Year 12.

The ICT Support Officer will be responsible for daily support to staff, students and parents through the College ICT helpdesk, phone and ticketing system. The ICT Support Officer will report to the College ICT Manager.
​
We are looking for an organised, energetic individual, who has the ability to follow instructions and work independently. The successful applicant will be a highly effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with colleagues, students and parents.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The role may include;
-
Provide ICT support to staff, students & parents via the ICT helpdesk, phone, and ticketing system

Assist in the rollout and maintenance of ICT assets, including lodging & tracking of warranty and repairs claims

Ensure ICT asset register is constantly maintained and accurate

Support and general maintenance of printers, projectors, digital displays, camera systems & other peripherals
-
Liaise with CEWA IT Support team to escalate any jobs beyond the scope of the Colleges ICT team
-
Demonstrate the ability to work after hours when necessary to provide ICT assistance for College events
-
Respect and value of the Colleges property, encouraging students and staff to do the same

Demonstrate an awareness of the Colleges health and safety practices

Complete other duties determined by the ICT Manager, Principal & Leadership Group

Essential Selection Criteria
​
The successful person will have;
-
A Catholic background or the ability to demonstrate empathy with the Catholic ethos of the College
-
Hold an appropriate qualification in the field
-
A minimum of 2 years experience in an Information and Communication Technology role
-
Possess a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality and interpersonal skills
-
Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Desirable Selection Criteria
​
-
In-depth knowledge of school administration systems such as SEQTA and AoS
-
In-depth knowledge of Office 365 suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneNote.
​

Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm.
48 weeks per year.
Some after-hours work may be required from time to time.
Salary Package
Level 3 - Step 4: $65,557 - $75,680 commensurate with experience and qualifications
​
The contract period ends at the end of Semester 1, 2023 with the possibility of ongoing employment.
