Our Lady of Mercy College is a Catholic co-educational College in the coastal town of Australind. The successful applicant for this position will be an enthusiastic educator keen to join a strong professional team. Ideally, they will be able to teach English in Years 7–12. Capable and confident graduates will be considered and if successful, nurtured and supported during their early development.

Selection Criteria
Essential;
-
Knowledge of and commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic education in a Mercy context.
-
Knowledge of and experience in applying the AITSL teaching standards in their professional practice within their teaching context and expertise.

A passion and ability to teach English.
-
A comprehensive knowledge and an understanding of effective pedagogy in the field of English.
-
Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
-
Highly developed ICT skills.
-
Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications Required

Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)

Western Australia Department of Education National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)

Working with Children Screen Check

Have completed, working towards, or be willing to work towards, 'Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School'. Additional information can be found here: CEWA Limited Accreditation Framework
